    Victoria Rasta Bileca, age 86, of Fairfield, wife of the late John Bileca, passed away on Tuesday April 3, 2012. Born and raised in Woonsocket, RI, daughter to the late Dimitrie and Anastasia Balamaci Rasta, Mrs. Bileca had lived in Fairfield for nearly forty years. She had worked for the Harvey Hubbell Co., until her retirement. She was a longtime member of St. Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church and had proudly served as the first woman President of the Church Council. Vicki was a past president of the ladies auxiliary, treasurer of the church council, the St. Dimitrie Retirees group and was a willing volunteer for all church functions. She enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing and was famous for her koularakia

    ( cookies ) which were enjoyed at the many church festivals. Vicki will be remembered as a sweet and loving wife, mother and grandmother, who accepted people for who they were and saw life as ” what will be, will be “. She is survived by her son, and daughter her precious grandchildren who were adored by their Maia. Vicki leaves her brother, Virgil Rasta of Woonsocket, RI as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Maria and brothers Vinson, Christy and Victor Rasta and a sister Louisa Cheamitru. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:30am in St. Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church, 504 Sport hill Rd., Easton with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call at St. Dimitrie on Thursday from 10:30am until the time of services. Arrangements in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Dimitrie Church.
