Nasta Ghnouly, father of Nick and Joe, dies.
Nästa Ghnouly, father of Nick and Joe Ghnouly, prominent St. Louis boxers, died yesterday after a long illness, at the family residence, 2015A Ann Ave. He was 53 years old.
Joe formerly was an outstanding amateur and professional boxer who attained some national prominence, while Nick won the Golden Gloves heavyweight novice championship last year. Both are now in the Navy.
In addition, two other sons, Van and John, a daughter Mrs. Custanda Balamaci, and the widow survive.
The funeral will be held from Chulick funeral home, 1722 South Jefferson avenue to St. Thomas’ Romanian Orthodox Church, 1427 Missouri Avenue with internment in St. Matthew’s Cemetery.
