Charles Dima; Table Talk, superintendent
Charles Dima, 82, of 38 Englewood Ave. died yesterday in Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital.
He leaves his wife, Veronica M. (Mussi) Dima; two daughters, Elaine D. Rassias of Bowie, Md. and Margaret Lee Dima of Worcester, and three grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Dima would have observed their 56th wedding anniversary June 25.
He was born in Korce, Albania, a son of Ilia and Margaret (Becu) Dima, and lived in Worcester 62 years.
Mr. Dima was plant superintendent at Table Talk Pie Co., where he worked 44 years, retiring in 1971.
He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and its Senior Citizens, and a founder and charter member of St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, Woonsocket, R.I., a member of Romanian Benevolent Society: Farsarotul, and Greendale Retired Men’s Club.
The funeral will be Monday from Caswell-King Funeral Home, 474 Grove St., with a service at noon in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St. The Rev. Dean N. Paleologos and the Very Rev. Nicholas K. Apostola officiating.
Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
A Trisagion service will be there at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The family requests flowers be omitted. Donations may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral Memorial Fund, Worcester, Mass., 01609, or to St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church, 14 Hammond St., Worcester, Mass., 01610.
