    Joseph P. Doku, 76, of Worcester, died Thursday, December 3rd in St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness.

    He leaves his wife of 47 years, Helen (Giantris) Doku; a daughter, Patricia M. Sedares and her husband John of Paxton; a son, Fr. Mark J. Doku and his wife Colleen of Leicester and four beloved granddaughters, Alexis, Hannah, Paige and Abby. He also leaves two brothers, Spiro P. Doku of Phoenix, AZ and Arthur Stika of Las Vegas, NV and two sisters, Cynthia Petit and Jane Andreoni both of North Smithfield, RI; and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Mary Meotti predeceased him.

    He was born in Blackstone, MA the son of Periklis and Eleni (Dede) Doku. Mr. Doku served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He had worked as a salesman for Table Talk Pie for 28 years; and also for Ziff Paper for a number of years before retiring.

    Mr. Doku was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He cherished time spent with his family and especially loved being with his granddaughters.

    The funeral will be Monday, December 7th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a service at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, December 6th from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home with a Trisagion Service at 6:30 P.M. I
