    BELMONT, NC Mrs. Virginia (Talabac) Bicki, 93, of Belmont, North Carolina, died Tuesday July 21, 2005 in the Northeast Medical Center, Concord section of Charlotte, NC. She was the wife of the late Pondu Bicki.

    Born June 15, 1912 in Putnam, CT, she was a daughter of the late Spiro and Lillian (Murolo) Talabac. Mrs. Bicki lived in North Grosvenordale, CT for sixty years before moving to Hollywood, FL where she lived for 12 years then to Ormand Beach, FL for 18 years. She moved to Belmont, NC 2 1/2 years ago to live with her son.

    Mrs. Bicki was a singer for an Orchestral Ensemble that traveled across Florida for most of her adult years. Mrs. Bicki was the last of the Red Hot Mamas.

    Mrs. Bicki was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Isabella and a member of the American Legion.

    She is survived by a son, Kenneth A. Bicki of Belmont, NC; two grandchildren, James Bicki and Jennifer Bicki both of Concord, NC and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Victor Talabac, Loretta Kelly and Nini Talabac.

    Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 am from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Josephs Church, Main Street, North Grosvenordale, CT. Burial will be in St. John the Romanian Orthodox Cemetery, Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Calling hours are Sunday 6-9 pm.
