Vasilika Belba
Vasilika Belba, 91, of 50 Edmund St. died yesterday at Woonsocket Hospital. She was the widow of the Rt. Rev. Costache Belba.
Born in Shipka, Albania, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ioan Alex, she lived in Woonsocket since 1913.
Mrs. Belba was a member of St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church.
She leaves three sons, Stephen Belba of Cumberland, Peter Belba, with whom she made her home, and Charles Belba of Lomita, Calif.; four daughters, Elizabeth Rondeau and Mary Gaudet, both of Woonsocket, Alice Scanlon and Lillian Cianci, both of Cumberland; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. from the Egidio & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., with a service at 2 at St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, Elbow Street. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
