Spiro Peter Doku
Spiro Peter Doku, 89, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on November 12, 2021. Born in Boston, MA on June 30, 1932, he was the son of the late Pericles and Eleni (Shtika) Doku.
He was the loving husband of 49 years to Juliette (Gartsu) Doku.
He Graduated from Blackstone High School in 1950 and served in the Air Force before graduating from East Coast Aeronautics School in 1959.
He worked for Northeast Airlines and Delta Airlines until retirement in 1987. After retiring, he worked at the Keene, NH Airport as a Fixed Base Operator.
Spending time and sharing a meal with family and loved ones was what he enjoyed most. He loved eating bread with cheese, taking road trips, and collecting old coins. As a lifelong aviation enthusiast, he worked on aircraft in both his military and civilian life. He traveled internationally to places such as Turkey, Albania, and Greece. The old country was always in his heart, and he was a steadfast steward of the Orthodox Church. Everything he did, he did with kindness.
Besides his wife, Juliette; he is survived by his son, Joseph Doku, Daughter-in-law, Hannah Doku, and granddaughter, Mea Rose Doku, with whom he lived out his final years in Arizona.
His siblings, Cynthia Petit, Jane Andreoni, and Arthur Stika also survived Spiro. His brother, Joseph Doku, and his sister, Mary Meotti preceded him in death. He greatly missed his sisters-in-law, Helen Doku, and Melinda Stika.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave. Woonsocket, RI. Calling Hours will be held at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Romanian Orthodox Church, 501East School St., Woonsocket, Service will take place at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
