Panteleimon "Peter" Belba
Panteleimon “Peter” Belba, – 87, of Uxbridge, MA, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2013 at his residence.
He was the loving husband to Amelia (Swierad) Belba.
He was born in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late Rev. Costache & Vasilka (Ioan) Belba.
Peter worked for the Fenwal Corp. in Ashland, MA from where he retired.
He was a resident of Uxbridge, MA for the last twenty six years, previously living in Woonsocket.
He was a US Navy Veteran serving for Naval Amphibious Forces in the Pacific area during WWII. He was a member of the Whitin Community Center and the VFW in Forestdale.
Besides his wife he is survived by one brother, Charles Belba of CA, two sisters, Mary Gaudet of GA., and Lillian Cianci of Cumberland, and a sister-in-law, Muriel Belba of FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Belba, and sisters, Elizabeth Rondeau, Flora Thomson, and Alexandria Scanlon.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 10am from the Egidio DiPardo and Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, with a Funeral Service at 11am in St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, 501 E. School St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
