Elizabeth Culetsu (Betty) Fitzgerald
Elizabeth Culetsu (Betty) Fitzgerald. Betty took the train on November 26, 2004 at Connecticut Hospice Brandford, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
She was a graduated of Bassick High School.
Betty was a sales Service supervisor at R.T. Vanderbilt for 39 years. She was the “Good Sister of the Piglet Brigade”.
Betty played the organ at St. Dimitrie9s Church for many years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband and best friend Paul Fitzgerald of Bridgeport. Betty and Paul played racquetball and jogged together. They loved their visits to The Cape” and their “detours” along the way. she will be sorely missed by her devoted sisters Nina Shaw of Fairfield and Joan Kalakay and her husband John of Bridgeport. she also leaves her nephews Andrew and David Shaw of Fairfield her niece Jaime Kalakay of Nantucket, Ma. She will also be missed by her “Sweetie” Kayla Shaw. She leaves her special cousins JoAnn, MaryAnn, Voni and Christine and her Aunt Edith Bici. She was predeceased by Her Parents Jim and Mary Culetsu, her nephew Jason Kalakay and her aunt Florence Tanase.
Her family wants to Thank her wonderful friends at RT Vanderbilt for their love and support. They would also like thank all the many friends and relatives who have helped them through this time.
Betty was a strong, loving, giving and sweet person. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
Friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Monday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Dimitrie9s Church Clinton Ave. Bridgeport. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery Bridgeport. Friends may call on Sunday (Today) at the Larson Funeral Home. 2496 North Avenue. Bridgeport. From 4 to 8 p.m.
